Image
1. Slow, Imperfect Progress Is Better Than None at All

Image
Some things just take time.  We don't need to do everything fast or perfectly.  We just have to keep learning and moving forward, a little every day.  Steady, imperfect progress is better than none at all.  Forward is forward, no matter how slow. "No one can jump from zero to a hundred.  No one can wake up an expert on something new.  We simply have to go through the process.  We can use all our energy questioning, doubting, and judging,  or we can use it to move forward, one tiny, imperfect step at a time,  knowing we’re getting closer to our goals every day.”  Credit ~ Lori Deschene Source

Random Thought.. on productivity: Attacker, not the defender

Image

Jesse Livermore’s 21 Trading Rules

Image
1. Nothing new ever occurs in the business of speculating or investing in securities and commodities. 2. Money cannot consistently be made trading every day or every week during the year. 3. Don’t trust your own opinion and back your judgment until the action of the market itself confirms your opinion. 4. Markets are never wrong – opinions often are. 5. The real money made in speculating has been in commitments showing in profit right from the start. 6. As long as a stock is acting right, and the market is right, do not be in a hurry to take profits. 7. One should never permit speculative ventures to run into investments. 8. The money lost by speculation alone is small compared with the gigantic sums lost by so-called investors who have let their investments ride. 9. Never buy a stock because it has had a big decline from its previous high. 10. Never sell a stock because it seems high-priced. 11. I become a buyer as soon as a stock makes a new high on its movement ...

Respect Yourself, Respect Your Professions.

Image

13 Signs of a Bull Market

Image
Posted by Ivanhoff on January 18th, 2012 1)      The market reacts positively to bad news. Negative headlines and terrible earnings reports are ignored. As the saying goes, reaction to news is more important than the news itself. Good reaction to bad news is the ultimate indicator of positive sentiment. Never underestimate the power of optimism in the market – it feeds on itself and creates positive feedback loop. 2)      Plethora of high-volume breakouts to major new highs , representing different industry groups. The so called “market of stocks” environment. 3)      Low correlation market , which produces both winners and losers. 10 Quotes From The Always Charming Commodities Guru - Jim Rogers

Image
China bull, commodities guru and bow tie lover Jim Rogers started on Wall Street back in the 60s. He co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros .  At one point he essentially shorted Western civilization. Now he's heavily invested in agriculture, gold, and silver. He is training his children to speak Mandarin because that's where he believes the futures lies.  He is also short a major U.S. bank , though he won't say which. We've put together 10 brilliant quotes from Rogers on China, gold and of course his favorite target, Fed reserve chairman Ben Bernanke . "I don’t know any way to short either Harvard or Stanford."
